Repacholi failed to qualify for the final after finishing with a score of 545 in the qualification stage.
Jin Jong-oh, from South Korea, won gold with a score of 193.7 after being the top qualifier with 567.
“Well it's all over, it wasn't the results that I was aiming for but I gave it my all and did the best I could on the day,” Repacholi posted on Facebook after the event.
“I was in the best form of my life coming into Rio. I left no stone unturned in my preparation for my last Olympics.
“I'd like to thank my hugely supportive and beautiful family, friends and sponsors for all your support this wouldn't have happened without you. Thank you.”
The popular Repacholi finished 44th in the 10m, with Cessnock teammate Blake Blackburn finishing 36th.
Among messages of support, Repacholi’s wife, Alex, congratulated her husband but reminded him there was a long list of chores to catch up when he gets home from Rio.
“Well done Daniel, we are so proud of you and the dedication you have made to your sport,” Alex said.
“We knew it was going to be a hard Olympic campaign, but we did it and are so happy you had a great time.
“Now enjoy your last few days in Rio, because when you get home the list of chores is longer than your arm.....and that's long!
“Sending huge hugs and kisses from your girls Alex, Zoe, Asha and Indie xoxoxoxo
