HOLMESVILLE-raised Jennifer Hawkins has opened Myer’s biggest ever show – the Spring 16 Collections – in front of 1000 people at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.

Hawkins, the Face of Myer, lead the fashion parade on Tuesday night, featuring 72 models showcasing more than 300 new-season looks by leading Australian and international designers including White Suede, Maticevski and Sass & Bide.
For the first time, loyal customers were among the traditionally industry-only crowd, with 700 Myer One members joining 300 fashion identities, business leaders and celebrities to watch the dramatic show unfold on the pastel catwalk set, punctuated by a futuristic neon light display.
Electro indie trio Safia kicked off the show with a live performance, hovering above the catwalk. Hawkins then made her stunning entrance from a dramatic tunnel at the end of the 32 metre set, in Maticveski.
The collections celebrated the first signs of spring with an explosion of floral prints – from micro petals to edgy digital flower patterns, most notably on Aje, Oscar da le Renta and Cue.
The opulent tone continued with layers of French lace seen on Kate Sylvester, Self Portrait and White Suede. Luxe metallic accents in shades of silvers, gold and pewter, were paired with sleek silhouettes showcased by Maticevski, By Johnny, and Sass & Bide.
On the back of announcing a two-year contract extension as the Face of Myer, Hawkins shone on the red carpet wearing Self Portrait, joined by her husband Jake Wall.
Myer ambassadors Jodi Anasta shone in By Johnny, Rachael Finch in Misha Collection, Lauren Phillips in White Suede and Kris Smith in MJ Bale, and special international guest model, Fernanda Ly, in Roksanda.
Celebrities at the launch included Cheyenne Tozzi, Michael and Kyly Clarke, Francesca Packer, Lindy Klim, Annabella Barber, Zac and Jordan Stenmark, Ksenija Lukich, Kate Peck, Samantha Armytage, Anna Heinrich and Tim Robards, Laura Dundovic, Demi Harman, Monika Radulovic, Sam and Phoebe Burgess, Didier Cohen, Chris Brown, Tash Sefton and Elle Ferguson, Carmen Hamilton, Carissa Walford, Abby Earl, Danielle Cormack, Tom Derickx, Rozalia Russian and Nikki Phillips.
The designer collections are available in Myer stores from today.
