Cessnock will also have its own drop-off in the TAFE car park on Saturday, October 22.
Up to five mattresses or bases will be accepted per household between 8am and noon.
Cessnock City Council general manager Stephen Glen said the drop-off days were back by popular demand.
“We were overwhelmed by the sheer number of people using the drop of service and are pleased to be offering it again in two locations,” he said.
“Many don’t realise that the majority of mattresses and ensembles contain valuable materials like steel, timber and foam which can be re-used or recycled.”
The service is available to Cessnock City Council residents only and proof of address is required.
Mattress drop-offs must be made using a vehicle as there will be no pedestrian access.
If residents are unable to attend the drop-off days mattresses can be taken to the Cessnock Waste and Reuse Centre for disposal at a fee of $27.
