Teams from under-10 through to under-17 vied for titles across the Hunter with grounds packed with enthusiastic fans over the weekend.
It was grand final weekend for the rugby league juniors with huge crowds at Kurri Kurri and Cessnock Sports Grounds on Saturday to cheer on teams from across the Hunter.
On Sunday it was the turn of under-10 to under-12 league youngsters at Kurri Kurri again.
One of the the district’s smallest clubs celebrated a premiership with the Woodberry Warrirors under-16-4 team defeating East Maitland 31-22.
Dungog Warriors also joined in the fun winning a fantastic game against Mallubla 22-18, holding out a Panthers attack on the siren
Cessnock junior teams collected three premierships on the weekend with the under-11-1 team completing the minor-major premiership double.
East Maitland were premiers in under-14-1 and under-11-3.
Thornton Beresfield also brought home two premierships with the under-16-2 and under-12-1 teams both successful
West Maitland under-16-3 were too strong in their grand final beating Lakes United 28-8.
Greta-Branxton celebrated grand final wins in under 12-2 and under 10-2.
The Kurri Kurri Bulldogs two under-11 teams had great seasons but unfortunately both lost closely contested grand finals, with defeats to Cessnock and East Maitland.

U-10-2: Greta Branxton defeated Morpeth 20-14
U11-1: Cessnock defeated Kurri Kurri 28-24,
U11-2: Cessnock defeated Greta Branxton 24-22
U11-3: East Maitland defeated Kurri Kurri 26-12.
U12-1: Thornton Beresfield defeated Scone 30-16
U12-2: Greta Branxton defeated Muswellbrook 20-18
U13-3: Dungong defeated Mallubla 22-18
U13-4: Central Charlestown defeated East Maitland 16-14
U14-1: East Maitland defeated Central Charlestown 18-14
U14-4: Kotara defeated West Maitland 20-14
U15-2 Muswellbrook defeated Greta Branxton 36-35\
U15-4: Myall River defeated East Maitland 22-20
U16-2: Thornton Beresfield defeated Greta Branxton 22-10
U16-3: West Maitland defeated Lakes United 28-8
U16-4: Woodberry defeated East Maitland 31-22
U17-2: Singleton defeated Cessnock 42-12.
