Last Wednesday police took a report from a woman who had received a phone call from a man that identified himself as an Australian Federal Police officer.

He told the female that her identity had been compromised and asked if she had a computer.

She confirmed that she did have a computer.

The fraudster then asked her to turn it on and await his instructions.

He then gave her a set of instructions that allowed him to hijack her system.

He was then able to scam the female victim into handing over a large amount of money.

Sometime around 4pm last Thursday a black 2014 Holden Colorado was stolen from the Bellbird Park Bowling Club.

The owner informed police that he had left the keys inside the unlocked vehicle.

Police are asking members of the public to come forward with any information they have about this incident.

They also remind the public to safeguard their vehicles.

People should lock up every time. They should never leave their keys inside the vehicle, never leave valuables in their vehicle or within sight, and park smartly in a safe, well-lit area.

Sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning a a 50-centimetre statue of a bald American eagle was stolen from the front yard of a house on Sandy Creek Road, Quorrobolong.
