Cessnock resident Anna Weatherup and her band will be the opening act at the last-ever Jazz in the Vines, which will be held at Tyrrell’s Vineyard on October 29.

Weatherup was a finalist on The Voice in 2013, when she turned all four judges’ chairs at the blind auditions and became part of Team Delta.
She bowed out in the battle rounds to Celia Pavey (now known as Vera Blue).
Shortly after the competition, Weatherup moved to Cessnock with her husband Tim Burcham, who also plays drums in her band.
“We don't get to play many gigs together these days so it's going to be fun!” Weatherup said.
“This will be my first time at the festival and I'm really looking forward to it.”
The band also includes Dale Willis, Klaye Sanders and Ben Evans, and they will kick off the festival at 11am.
Now in its 24th year, Jazz in the Vines is the Hunter’s longest-running music festival – but organiser Grant Smith has decided to 2016 will be its last year.
Mr Smith said tickets are selling quite well for the festival’s swansong, with a crowd of about 8000 people expected.
“We’re going to go out with a bang,” he said.
The line-up also features James Morrison, Leo Sayer, Mental as Anything, Lisa Hunt, Emma Pask (who also featured on The Voice 2013), John Morrison's Swing City Big Band, Monica Trapaga, Dale Barlow and Bob Barnard.
It runs from 11am to 6pm.
