Award-winning author Tim Low will talk about his latest book on Australia’s unique songbirds, joined by local bird expert Mick Roderick from BirdLife Australia who will share his extensive knowledge of the local bird life and biodiversity.
It will be Low’s first time to the Hunter and he is looking forward to getting out with Roderick and exploring the unique bird habitat of the Cessnock area.
Roderick said Cessnock is home to endangered species including the regent honeyeater, swift parrot, the black-chinned honeyeater, brown treecreeper and powerful owl.
Signed copies of Low’s book, Where Song Began: Australia’s Birds and How They Changed the World will be available on the night.
