Mai-Wel’s new ‘Step Up’ service can help school leavers gain the skills and confidence needed to transition successfully into employment.
The service offers a range of opportunities from community-based employment, work-like activities, work experience, supported employment plus much more.
The workshop will give school leavers a chance to see what the service has to offer, meet the staff and participate in some fun activities.
The information sessions will cover a variety of areas including cooking and hospitality, creative arts and digital media.
Parents and carers are welcome to come to the morning session to meet the Step Up team and ask any questions they might have regarding NDIS funding and supports available.
Each day will conclude with a barbecue lunch.
The workshop will run from 10am to 1pm on October 18 and 19 at Mai-Wel LabourForce Solutions’ Cessnock office (5 Edward Street).
Phone 4990 1799 or email mwlfs@maiwel.com.au to RSVP.
