A MAN has been burnt and struck with a baseball bat in a brutal brawl at Stockrington home early on Friday morning.

Police allege a 43-year-old man, who has since been charged, punched another 43-year-old man, causing him to fall to the ground, about 1.30am.
Police said the man was pounded with a baseball bat before being burnt while still on the ground.
The man was treated for broken ribs, bruising and burns and Belmont Hospital. He was reported as being in a stable condition on Sunday.
Police arrested the man’s alleged attacker at the Bluegum Close home.
He was charged with recklessly cause grievous bodily harm in company, actual bodily harm in company and possess prohibited weapon.
The man was bail refused to attend Maitland Local Court on Monday.
Investigations continue.
