Promising local junior Corey Lamb finished runner up, nine shots behind Hale, and was a clear winner in the junior championship.
Josh Tracey finished strongly to claim third place after two indifferent rounds last week.
Greg Gillard played beautifully to easily win B-grade by 14 shots, with an overall score of 329.
Greg was once a single marker at Branxton many years ago and his comeback, after only playing a lot of social golf over the past 30 years, has been remarkable.
Phil Carter, a previous winner in B-grade was runner up with John Vasser, one of the tireless committee members finishing third, another five shots back.
Daniel Rogers reaped the rewards of a series of lessons from the club pro to claim the C-grade title.
He was nine shots clear of runner up Peter Matthews, with the early leader, Doug Muncaster third, five shots back.
Rogers finished it in style by recording 43 points on the last day, an 84 off the stick.
Saturday’s event was deferred for some time, after an early morning downpour.
The last green resembled a waterfall for some time before play began an hour later. Dave Hollis must be a mudlark as he won A-grade with a remarkable 43 point, well clear of runners up Greg Gillard and Riley McClung, both with 38 points.
Robert Hale played some excellent golf to win B-grade with 35 points, just ahead of John Vasser and Ian Barnes.
Geoff Jones won C Grade with 37, with Michael Carling and Troy Hunt filling the placings.
On Sunday, with the pressure on the leading players, Chris Zawirski snuck through the pack to win the day’s event with 39 points, just ahead of Mark Moylan and Tony Lamb.
B-grade was won by the evergreen Gary Walsh with 39. showing he still has the skills to compete. John Vasser finished runner up once again with 38, with Robert Miller third with 37.
Dan Rogers won C Grade, setting up his championship result, with his 43 points, with Peter Matthews and Geoff Jones filling the placings.
The shot of the day belonged to Corey Lamb hitting a beautiful short iron over “Rex’s Tree” finishing just 147 centimetres from the pin.
