The Restaurant and Catering Association’s Wine List Awards form part of the Savour Australia Hostplus Awards for Excellence.
The winners of the state’s best wine lists were announced as part of the NSW Wine Awards, held by the NSW Wine Industry Association on October 28.
Legends Grill took home the awards for best regional wine list featuring NSW wines, and best wine list for a restaurant or caterer in a licensed venue.
“We have been developing our cellar over the years and it is a true tribute to not only the traditional legends of the Hunter, but to the new innovative upcoming vignerons in the region,” The Vintage food and beverage director Jeff Long said.
“With that said, we also boast a very impressive, highly sort after selection of European wines, that are extremely difficult to find not only in Australia but around the world.”
The Vintage general manager Joseph Spagnolo said the awards were a testament to the dedication of their staff and working together with the wineries in the Hunter Valley.
“A lot happens behind the scenes and what better way to recognise this achievement and to receive this award,” Mr Spagnolo said.
