Justin Beckett, of Congewai, and Millfield brothers Blake and Brendan Marsh will contest the event, which is part of the Coates Hire Sydney 500 program at Olympic Park.
A multiple world title holder, Beckett will compete on Saturday for one of five spots on the 2017 Pro Tour and the chance to make the Chopperoos squad for next year’s world championships in Norway.
He takes good form into the final round, having finished on top of the NSW series with 43 points from six rounds.
The Pro Tour qualifier will include springboard, stocksaw, standing block, single buck, underhand chop and hotsaw rounds.
The Marsh brothers will compete against each other in the Rookie division (under-25s) on Sunday. They will be vying to represent Australia at the 2017 Rookie World Championships.
Blake, 23, finished first in the NSW series, four points ahead of Brendan, 16.
Their brother Cameron finished fourth.
The boys have been competing in woodchopping since they were 10 years old.
They consider themselves lucky to have a great mentor in Beckett, and also their father Noel, to help them with their technique.
