Cessnock’s Mary Marks has capped off a great year in the sport of ten pin bowling with two more medals and a trophy at Super Strike Maitland’s Monday night competition 2016 presentation.

Marks received the trophy for first place in the female (with handicap) division, and a medal for third-placed team.
She also received the Turkey Award for scoring 12 strikes at competitions during the year.
Marks picked up gold and silver at the National Disabilities Tenpin Bowling Championships in June this year.
She has won numerous medals at state and national competitions in her 25 years of ten pin bowling.
She received the achievement award for senior athlete with a disability at the 2015 Cessnock City Sportsperson of the Year awards, after claiming gold at the national titles that year.
Marks will resume competition at Maitland after the Christmas break and will be gearing up for the 2017 state championships in Sydney on the June long weekend.
