The Weston man, 26, was interviewed by Central Hunter detectives after being picked up near the Lang Street blaze.

Fairfax Media understands the man will charged over Tuesday’s blaze, which threatened homes and took out more than 20 hectares of bushland.

Investigations into a series of other deliberately-lit Coalfields fires, including the massive blaze last week, were continuing.
