Rugby is an international game with rising popularity, especially with Rugby 7s being introduced to the Olympic Games.
The club’s boys and girls play rugby in the Hunter Junior Rugby Union competition and field teams from Under 6s upwards.
The competition includes teams from Singleton, Nelson Bay, Lake Macquarie, Warnervale and all areas in between.
The Pokolbin Junior Rugby Club is a subcommittee of the senior men’s Pokolbin Rugby Club.
Their home ground for 2017 is at St Philips Christian College, a great central area for players and families to access.
The club thanks St Philips for their support and the development of grassroots rugby in the local community.
Pokolbin Junior Rugby Club train from 4pm on Thursday afternoons with some of the older teams also training on Tuesday afternoons.
A free Gala Day and Registration Day will be held on Sunday, February 19 at Potters Brewery Nulkaba from 3pm to 5pm for ages 3 to 14 years.
New players are more than welcome to “Try Rugby For Free”.
Register and play the first three games and if you decide to continue playing then pay the registration fee.
Registration is only $50 per player.
Pokolbin Junior Rugby Club is all about participation at any skill level.
They encourage kids to get out on the field and have fun.
The glue of Pokolbin Junior Rugby Club is the families and supporters.
They are a club with great family values and participation.
