The 14-year-old Kurri-Weston junior bowling all-rounder plays U/16s and second grade for his club.
In a busy representative schedule this season he has represented Cessnock, Hunter Valley and Central North Zone.
To cap it off played for the Sydney Sixers against the Sydney Thunder in the under-14 State Challenge at Dubbo.
He took 2-18 off four overs in the match at Dubbo.
The Central North under-14 side finished the season in second place, competing against the likes of Riverina, Western NSW, Newcastle, Mid North Coast and North Shore in the annual competition.
Sylvester’s best figures throughout this campaign were 2-20 off seven overs.
At Hunter Valley level he has played against Penrith, Newcastle Presidents, Central Coast and Hornsby, with his best figures throughout this series being a very tidy 4-5 off 5.
Sylvester captains the Cessnock District under-14 representative team, batting at number three and opening the bowling.
He has played an integral role in the success of the side this year, taking 10 wickets in five games at an average of 7.00.
His best bowling figures were 4-14 off five overs. His batting average for the series is 30.00.
Cessnock under 14s will take on Maitland West in the final to be played this coming Sunday in Maitland.
