Hope Estate has announced that John Farnham will headline a “Hope Rocks” concert at the winery on Saturday, April 8, with support acts Jon Stevens, Shannon Noll and the Black Sorrows.
Farnham’s been in the spotlight since his first hit single, Sadie the Cleaning Lady, in December 1967. His career faded in the late 1970s, but he made a comeback with his Uncovered album in 1980. He fronted the Little River Band briefly in the 1980s. His most successful album was Whispering Jack in 1986 and the single You’re The Voice.
Jon Stevens, known as the frontman for Noiseworks, has a new album, Starlight, coming out in March.
Shannon Noll is the only Australian artist to chart 10 consecutive top 10 singles. Joe Camilleri and his band, Black Sorrows, have released 18 albums in 33 years.
Pre-sale tickets are available at hopeestate.com.au. General public tickets go on sale February 22 with Ticketmaster.
