Celebrating all things from the 1950s and 1960s, there’s something for everyone with a weekend of rock n roll, music, cars, free entertainment, market stalls and much more.

Shannon’s Show and Shine on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March is one of the major drawcards, with an amazing display of immaculate classic cars and hot rods.

The Retro Market Place brings together some of the biggest and best nostalgia themed retro and vintage market stalls from across the country.

You’ll find themed merchandise, retro goods, vintage clothing, rock n roll memorabilia and collectables.

There’s nostalgia themed food stalls, sideshow alley, dance floors and plenty for the car enthusiasts.

The festival kicks off on Friday 24 March, with a Free Family Fun Night in Rotary Park with Jumpin Jukebox and Eagle Rocks. 

Free entertainment on Saturday includes performances by Voodoo Rhythm Shakers, Steve Head, Chance 2 Dance, Marching Koalas, Newcastle 50s Rock N Roll and the incredible Sydney Swing Katz.

Sunday’s free entertainment includes Jukebox Jive, Steve Head, Flattrakkers, Nightmoves, DJ Vinnie, All Shook Up Dance Studio and Emmy-Lou’s Retro Fashion Parade.

Getting dressed up is part of the fun of the weekend.

The Best Dressed competitions are so popular that there are four different categories on both Saturday and Sunday – Traditional, Miss Modern Day, Couples and Juniors.

You can also enjoy a night out at Weston Workers Club, Kurri Kurri Workers Club or Kurri Kurri Bowling Club over the weekend (more information about the entertainment is included in the full program on the website).

Free event parking with disability access will be available at Booth Park, Kurri Kurri on both Saturday and Sunday.

A shuttle bus will run between Booth Park and the main festival area at Rotary Park between 7am and 4.30pm each day.
