Hunter Business Hub Manager and chamber president Kerry Hallett will be joined by Cheryl Royle from The Finer Line as guest speakers at the meeting.
The Federal Department of Employment has initiated two programs to try to address the issue – Exploring Being Your Own Boss (run by the Hunter Region Business Hub) and the Entrepreneurship Facilitator Program (run by The Finer Line).
Ms Hallett said the series of workshops is valuable not only for running a business, but will also give important information to help the participant become an important part of the team in future employment.
“While these initiatives won't resolve every problem, they are a great start,” she said.
The meeting will be held at Kurri Kurri Bowling Club at 6pm on Tuesday, April 4.
RSVP by Friday, March 31 to 4936 2557.
