Organiser Phil Baird said Wednseday’s fixtures unfortunately clashed with a previous booking at the centre and would be held on Wednesday, April 26 instead.
“The week off will allow players to regroup and assess the fun they have had since the sport was introduced to Cessnock several weeks ago,” Baird said.
Designed especially for seniors who had perhaps thought that their days of participating in a team sport were over, they have now come to realise that this is not the case and they can once again enjoy the thrill of playing in a team environment.
Although played at a walking pace, the game still provides plenty of exercise which is so often missing in the lives of our senior citizens.
Baird said games are played on Wednesdays from 10am and welcomed all senior citizens to give it a try.
