The Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow is heading to Cessnock again.
Every year audiences are wowed by the incredible line-up, and this year will be no exception, with a mix of local heroes and international stars as well as the hottest newcomer discoveries of the festival.
This year’s MC is Sam Taunton, a young Australian comedian who began his career three years ago and performed his first solo stand-up show at this year’s Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Adam Hess is a cheeky guy from London, who mixes stand-up comedy with acting and television writing, and offers amusing comments on well-known people, including the Queen.
Mandy Nolan is a mother-of-five from the Byron Bay area who says she found comedy a breeze after raising her kids. She created her own comedy festival.
Nath Valvo is an Aussie who was nominated as best newcomer for his comedy show at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival and played in London’s West End early this year.
And Dilruk Jayasinha is a Sri Lankan who migrated to Australia at age 19 to study for an accountancy degree but after graduating found stand-up comedy to be more engaging. He has toured to his homeland and other countries and has appeared in the last seven Melbourne Comedy Festivals.
The roadshow will arrive at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre on Thursday, June 8.
It is recommended for people aged 15 years or older.
The show starts at 8pm. Tickets at cessnockperformingartscentre.com.au.
