Highlights of the year included the club’s 30^th anniversary in December, trips to Tobruk Sheep Station, Mortel sheepskin factory, the Gosford Classic Car Museum, bowls days, lunches, morning teas and guest speakers.

The changeover luncheon was held at Potters Brewery function centre and included entertainment by local ukulele quartet The Happy Strummers.

Club president Gordon Moore retained his position, and will also fill the roles of welfare officer and activity officer.

Bill Flett (vice-president and bowls coordinator), Geoff Brown (secretary), Danny Hoggan (assistant secretary, librarian/historian), Brian Howe (treasurer), David Lennon (auditor, guest speaker coordinator), Gary Brown (morning tea coordinator), Pat Chappell (activity officer), Ross Smith (musical director) and Eddie Wheeler (raffle coordinator) also retained their positions.

Brett Schrader (assistant treasurer) and Richard McKendry (newsletter editor) were announced as new members of the executive.

Mr Moore said it is a privilege to lead the club for another year.

“It is both a pleasure and a gift to be the president of a club with so many great members,” he said.

Probus is a community service activity of Rotary clubs, offering activities and friendship for retirees.
