The Pickers host Kurri Kurri Bulldogs in the Newcatle Rugby League Women in League Round encounter kicking off at 1.55pm.
This year is the first time the competition will be celebrating the on-field role and pathways for women on-field as well and off-field in Hunter rugby league.
The Pickers first grade and ladies league tag teams will both be wearing special jerseys featuring pink in the design to mark the big day.
Pickers halfback Emma Martin, who played with the Newcastle Rebels representative team, said the team was excited about the day and looking forward to playing before a big crowd before first grade.
But she said the main focus was on beating the Bulldogs and keeping their finals hopes alive.
The Bulldogs are in fifth spot a game and percentage clear of Maitland on the ladder.
Coach Adam Martin said Maitland needed to win to bridge the gap with Kurri Kurri and stay in the battle for a top five spot and semi-finals.
He said if the Bulldogs won it wouldn’t be impossible but very unlikely for the Pickers to reach the finals.
The last time the two teams in round four, the Bulldogs had a 36-6 win.
