The conference and incentive markets are a key strategic focus for the Hunter Valley Wine and Tourism Association, and the HVWTA had the pleasure of showing off the Hunter Valley to two key conference organisers from a major Chinese company, Tahitian Noni.

The organisers have chosen Australia are now choosing between Sydney or the Gold Coast for their Tahitian Noni China Distributor Incentive in 2018.
If Sydney wins the bid to host this event, the Hunter Valley will play a major role providing accommodation, optional activities and experiences for 300 Chinese delegates in 2018. It is estimated that this event will have an economic impact of $1.5 million.

Wine show luncheon
Tickets are selling fast! It’s that time of the year once again where wine country comes together to celebrate the winners of our talented Hunter Valley winemakers and producers.
The Clear Image Hunter Valley Wine Show luncheon will be held at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley on Friday, August 25. More than 350 wine and tourism industry along with national media will celebrate the success of our wine producers.
Elaine Chukan Brown is the international judge this year. Based in Sonoma, California, Elaine serves as the American specialist for JancisRobinson.com, is a contributing writer to Wine & Spirits, and a columnist for Wine Business Monthly. Her work has also been featured in The World of Fine Wine, The Robb Report, Decanter, MensHealth.com, GuildSomm.com, San Francisco Magazine, among others, and appears on her own website, WakawakaWineReviews.com.
Elaine is known for having created illustrated tasting notes, which have been described by @KermitLynchWine as "a new standard in wine reviews".
Prior to her career in wine, Elaine served as a philosophy professor at Northern Arizona University. Hunter Valley Wine Country is very excited to have Elaine join our judging team and experience arguably some of the best wines produced in Australia.
