The Women’s Auxiliary raises funds for the RSL, to help Australia’s returned servicemen and women.
Life member Margaret Jackson received a certificate and a pin for her 50-plus years of service, while the group’s president Zelma Lomas received a new badge and certificate for her 20-plus years’ of service.
Joyce Stephens, Lorraine Rutherford, Flo Leary and Carmel Potter were honoured for their service of a decade or more, presented with certificates and new badges.
The friendly group of ladies welcomes new members to join and help with their fundraising efforts.
They meet at the RSL Hall on Wollombi Road, Cessnock on the first Saturday of the month at 10am.
