The stadium will host the inaugural Pokolbin Farm Stay Masters netball tournament on September 16 and 17.
The netball competition was inspired by the success of last year’s Wine Country Masters basketball tournament (which will return on the weekend of September 23 and 24).
The netball tournament is open to women aged 30 or over, and the team registration fee of $500 includes a vineyards tour.
Stadium manager Brett Keeble says it’s the perfect end-of-season trip – combining a fun netball tournament, wine tasting and a relaxing weekend in the Hunter Valley vineyards.
The basketball tournament is for players aged 35 and over, but each team can include up to two players aged between 30 and 34.
Last year’s Wine Country Masters was a great success, attracting teams from Sydney and around the Hunter region.
Entries for the Pokolbin Farm Stay Masters netball tournament are due by August 25, while nominations for the Wine Country Masters basketball tournament close September 1.
