The Life of Brian: Wine, Sunshine, Passion, and 57 Years of Compost debuted at Around Hermitage’s Hunter Valley Wine, Food and Film Festival in May.
It is described as “vintage story of the life of wine baron Brian McGuigan, told through his family, friends, enemies, business acquaintances, liver doctor and associated consumption cronies”.
This Sunday’s screening will include never-before-seen footage of life in the vineyards and covers many aspects of the McGuigan family story.
Writer-director Neal Crisford said it’s a fun and entertaining look at the history of Hunter Valley wine country.
He said researching the McGuigans’ background for the film was a fascinating task.
“What they’ve contributed is amazing,” he said.
Mr McGuigan said he was delighted with the effort that went into creating the film, and he is looking forward to the second screening.
“The people of Around Hermitage have gone to a hell of a lot of trouble to put this together,” he said.
The event will kick off with wine tasting and food at 6pm and the film will start at 7pm.
Tickets are $20 and are available at aroundhermitage.com.au.
