Spring Fair Liaison Officer Kath Hirons said great weather drew fantastic crowds.
She said the Gourmet Palette competition had more entries than last year and the helicopter company said they could bring two choppers next year to keep up with demand. Ms Hirons said the event had grown to be a day for the whole community not just the school.
Meanwhile, the school will hold another community event on Monday when founder of Angels of East Africa and a former drug-dealing biker Sam Childers visits.
Mr Childers, affectionately known as the ‘Machine Gun Preacher,’ has saved the lives of thousands of women and children in East Africa.
Hollywood actor Gerard Butler starred as Mr Childers in feature film Machine Gun Preacher which can be seen at the school on the night.
The event starts at 5pm and is open to the public. Any donations made go to Mr Childers’ charity Angels of East Africa.
