BPW Cessnock president Sheila Turnbull said the business and professional women’s club is delighted to sponsor the quest.
The winner will be encouraged to attend and promote BPW events, such as International Women’s Day (supporting wage equality) in March, and the anti-domestic violence campaign White Ribbon Day in November.
Miss Cessnock City quest organising committee member (and 2006 winner) Rebecca Gillon said BPW’s focus on empowering women is strongly aligned with the aims of the quest.
Women aged 17 to 23 who reside in the Cessnock local government area are welcome to apply.
