Hunter Valley Wine Country tourism operators and local businesses are supporting this initiative by making a collective contribution of $200,000 that promises to generate an enormous increase in visitation to the region.
The support so far has been fantastic with pledges from 60 businesses, totalling $105,000.
Destination marketing campaigns drive visitation, benefiting not only direct tourism operators but indirect tourism business from across the two local government areas.
With other key tourism destinations in NSW and nationally heavily promoting their regions, it is imperative that we have an impact in such a competitive tourism environment.
The Alliance will continue to seek pledges from industry, whilst Cessnock City Council and Singleton Council will work together to contribute the remaining funds to meet the Alliance’s goal of raising $300,000 in pledges. Please call 4990 0900 for more information.
RESTAURANTS HONOURED
Four of our Hunter Valley restaurants – Muse Restaurant, Muse Kitchen, Margan Winery & Restaurant and Bistro Molines – were awarded the very coveted hatted restaurant status at the 2018 Good Food Guide Awards at The Star, Sydney last Monday.
Muse Restaurant is the Hunter Valley’s only two-hatted restaurant with the other winners all maintaining or receiving hats. Congratulations to all of these culinary leaders.
Muse Restaurant has also been awarded number one Best Fine Dining Restaurant in Australia by Tripadvisor.
Tripadvisor is governed by the consumer on a rating scale, so it is amazing to see this award going to a Hunter Valley restaurateur for the second time in a row and we couldn’t be more proud of Troy, Megan and the rest of their hard working team.
