Nine properties were raided in Cessnock, with others in Mayfield and Jesmond, on Wednesday morning.
Police said they had arrested and charged ten people after the raids.
Strike Force Hoadley – comprised of Central Hunter detectives – was formed a year ago to investigate the supply of ice in the Cessnock area.
Police seized several items including drugs and cash.
Central Hunter crime manager Detective Inspector George Radmore said the arrests would have “significant impact” on the ice trade in the region.
He described the drug ring as “elaborate” and required patience as detectives carried out the investigation.
"This operation will have a significant impact on the drug trade in the area and I commend all officers involved in breaking up this group,” he said.
“We will be providing more details and expect further arrests in the future.”
More to come.
