This is an important visit for the Hunter Valley, as incentive product buyers bring and attract large groups such as conferences, symposiums, and conventions; resulting in direct and in-direct economic benefits for the local community.
The group visited Australia as part of the annual Dreamtime event hosted by Tourism Australia, which was held in Brisbane from December 3 to 6.
Dreamtime is Tourism Australia’s signature event for promoting Australia as a world-class incentive destination. Delegates came from Asia, New Zealand, USA and the United Kingdom.
The Korean group finished their Australian tour in the Hunter Valley, after visiting Queensland.
They were treated to a few quintessential Hunter Valley experiences including lunch on the green at Audrey Wilkinson, a helicopter ride overlooking Hunter Valley, a Segway experience at Hunter Valley Resort, lunch at the hatted Bistro Molines, a tasting experience at Hungerford Hill, lessons with a golf pro at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort, and canapes at dusk on the lawn at Restaurant Botanica, only to name a few.
The HVTWA works closely with Tourism Australia to strengthen the region’s ties with increasing international visitation from these important incentives markets.
