Cowra High School has welcomed a new relieving principal with Helene Hamilton joining a new look executive team. Mrs Hamilton joins current deputy principal Meg Robinson and newly appointed deputy principal Louise Rowston. Mrs Hamilton, who has spent the last eight years at Orange High School, says she looks forward to leading the school over the next 12 months. "I have already had the opportunity to meet many students, staff and parents and am passionate about developing and building relationships over the next 12 months focusing on teaching and learning to ensure growth in student learning outcomes. "As Henry Ford says... Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success." Mrs Rowston said she is excited for the opportunity to become deputy principal after the retirement of Paul Bullock earlier this year. "I have been the Head Teacher - Technological and Applied Studies at Cowra High School for the past six years," she said. "I look forward to working with Mrs Helene Hamilton and Ms Megan Robinson to ensure all our students are engaged and challenged to continue to learn and that all the young people in our care finish school prepared for higher education, training and work." Mrs Robinson, who has been deputy principal alongside Mr Bullock for the past four years, said she continues to enjoy the challenges of teaching. "I was appointed to Cowra High School as PDHPE/Science teacher, then relieved as Head Teacher PDHPE and Head Teacher Wellbeing. "Now I look forward to being part of the new leadership team with Helene Hamilton and Louise Rowston. "The new phase of teaching 21st century learners will present many challenges which the team will work closely together to solve."
