The purpose of the strategy and master plan is to establish a framework that will guide future development within the Branxton sub-region.
It will aim to respond to the impacts and opportunities within the Branxton sub-region (including the township of Greta) due to the opening of the Hunter Expressway and development of Huntlee.
It will also provide a framework to coordinate cross-boundary land use planning decisions within both the Cessnock and Singleton local government areas – specifically within the study area.
Input will inform the land use recommendations of the draft strategy and master plan, which will be exhibited in the second half of 2015.
There will be further opportunity for community input and comment on the strategy during the public exhibition period.
The survey can be completed online on Cessnock or Singleton Council’s websites from April 2 to 20.
Hard copies are available from Miller Park Sport and Recreation Club, the Royal Federal Hotel and Branxton Newsagency.
