
Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Cessnock.
About 4.45am on Friday April 1, two men entered a butcher’s shop on Maitland Road, and threatened the owner.
One of the men took cash from a register then both offenders fled the scene on foot.
Police were called to the location and established a crime scene.
The 58-year-old shop owner did not suffer any injuries during the incident.
Central Hunter Detectives continue to investigate the robbery and would like to speak to two men who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 173 centimtres tall, with a thin build and short hair. He was wearing a beanie.
The second man is also described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 188 centimetres tall, with a solid build and short hair. He was wearing a blue chequered flannelette shirt, shorts and joggers.
Both men had their faces covered.
