Rover Coaches is one of many local businesses and organisations that have supported the Mark Hughes Foundation’s Beanie for Brain Cancer Awareness Week this week.
The Cessnock bus company purchased 80 beanies (one for every staff member) through the Mark Hughes Foundation and all employees proudly wore their beanie on Friday.
Every Rover employee kindly made their own contribution when they received their beanie.
In conjunction with this day, Rover also had a cup cake stall and in total donated $2088.
The foundation was established by Kurri Bulldogs and Newcastle Knights rugby league legend Mark Hughes after his brain cancer diagnosis in 2013.
Since launching 'Beanie for Brain Cancer' in 2014, the foundation has raised over $150,000 for brain cancer research.
The foundation raises funds for research and awareness, and to support brain cancer patients and their families.
