The Maitland netball courts were a sea of colour as 119 teams from across the Hunter including several from Cessnock descended on the city for the annual All Age Gala Day on Sunday.
The Cessnock girls joined visiting teams from Muswellbrook, Singleton, Nelson Bay, Port Stephens, Medowie and Newcastle as well as Maitland.
From learners through to some of the Hunter’s leading teams including reigning Matiland A-grade premiers The George Tavern the emphasis was on fun.
Unlike representative carnivals, the gala day is designed for regular teams to pit themselves against other teams from across the Hunter.
