
Police are investigating after several firearms were allegedly stolen in Cessnock.
About 2pm on Wednesday, October 5, police attended a home on O’Shea Circuit, Cessnock, following reports four firearms had been stolen.
Police have been told the man noticed the lock on his back fence had been damaged and the garage had allegedly been broken into.
Upon further inspection, the man saw the lock on the gun cabinet had been damaged and four firearms were missing.
Officers attached to Central Hunter Local Area Command established and crime scene and commenced an investigation.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact Maitland Police Station via Crime Stoppers.
