Cessnock woman Esther Elliott is not only that, but she’s fortunate enough to live in the same town as the five generations of her direct descendants and sees them quite often.
Esther became a great-great-grandmother in July last year, when her great-granddaughter Monquie Cameron gave birth to her daughter Charlie.
Esther absolutely loves being a great-great-grandmother, and was thrilled to have all five generations – plus about 40 other family members and friends – at her 90th birthday party in July this year.
People travelled from as far away as Ungarie, Nowra, Canberra and Victoria to help Esther celebrate the special milestone.
Previously from Ungarie, Esther and her husband Stanley moved to the Hunter Valley eight years ago to be closer to their daughter Lois Whitfield (who has lived in the area for 40 years). Stanley passed away five years ago.
Esther loves living in the Cessnock Masonic Village, where she enjoys playing hoi and bingo.
