The Cessnock Christian Christmas Lunch was started more than a decade ago, to provide a meal and company for the homeless, disadvantaged or isolated people on Christmas Day.
More than 70 diners, plus volunteers, attended this year’s lunch at Wesley Hall.
Diners enjoyed Christmas carol singers and various seasonal ballads by Cessnock entertainer Ron Jackson.
Volunteers also provided transport for some people and home-delivered meals to others.
“It’s probably one of the best ones that we’ve had,” Cessnock Christian Christmas Lunch committee member David Clark said.
“They all left with full bellies.
“Everyone was very happy and harmonious.”
The lunch is a joint effort of churches, volunteers and business sponsors.
“And the volunteers all worked extremely well,” Mr Clark said.
“We were all tired but the effort was extremely worthwhile.”
The organisers thanked all the supporters and volunteers who ensured a fun and entertaining lunch was enjoyed by all.
