Ian Elliot will address the free workshop, which will be held during NSW Back to Business Week.
An internationally-renowned marketing expert, Mr Elliot rose from mailboy to CEO and chairman of Australia’s biggest advertising agency group, developing brands such as Optus, Arnotts and VB.
He also ran the communications strategy for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, and has spoken to audiences at corporate events and conferences around the world.
Advance Cessnock City (a partnership between local chambers of commerce and Cessnock City Council) will host the event as part of its Business Leadership Workshop Series.
Council’s economic development manager Jane Holdsworth said Mr Elliot is an expert when it comes to advising businesses on how they can reach their potential with low- or no-cost ideas and creativity.
“We understand people are so busy in their businesses, especially small or micro enterprises that need to juggle the many different aspects of running a business,” Ms Holdsworth said.
“This workshop will give attendees straightforward rules and tools that enable businesses to unlock hidden revenues and re-energise teams.”
The workshop will be held at Cessnock Leagues Club on March 1 from 8.30am to 11am. Morning tea is included.
