The workshops with Emmie Hallett are a fun and positive opportunity for kids aged seven-to-12 to explore music, drama and craft with a focus on confidence building and creativity.
Wednesday’s workshop is Super Hero Confidence, which introduces kids to techniques that help build self-confidence as well as fun super-hero themed drama games.
Kids will create their own superhero identity and learn how to make a costume in make-and-take home craft activity.
Singing and Sounds, on Thursday, is an interactive music workshop where kids will explore group singing, body percussion and drumming using household objects like cardboard boxes and tennis balls.
An instrument-making workshop will be held on Friday. Kids will create a range of musical instruments- which they get to keep.
The three workshops will be held in the program room (upstairs at the Cessnock Performing Arts Centre).
The cost of $18 per workshop includes materials and a light morning tea of fresh fruit.
Super Hero Confidence will be held at CPAC on Wednesday at 10am; Singing and Sounds is on Thursday at 12.30pm and an instrument-making workshop will be held on Friday at 10am.
Call CPAC on 4993 4266 for bookings.
