The event is now in its fifth year and has become one of Cessnock’s favourite nights out, with its combination of fantastic food, entertainment and fundraising.
This year’s lineup will include Fast Jimmy (one of Australia’s premier comedy magicians); talented local singer Anna Weatherup and illusionist/hypnotist Hypnotik.
Dine 4 Charity has raised almost $70,000 for local charities since its inception in 2013 – when event founder Anthony Burke and his friend Jo O’Malley decided to skydive in honour of family and friends battling cancer.
In 2016 the event grew into the Hunter Charity Network, formalising its work.
This year’s dinner will raise funds for Cancer Council campaigns for prostate cancer early detection and brain tumour awareness, and the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation’s patient support programs.
Mr Burke said he’s excited to be celebrating five years of Dine 4 Charity, and this year’s dinner is one not to be missed.
“I am looking forward to another entertaining, relaxed and fun night while raising awareness and funds for charity,” he said.
“Since jumping out of a plane in 2013, Dine 4 Charity has grown and grown, which is an amazing feeling. I hope people can join us for a fun night out.”
The night also includes the Hunter’s largest lolly buffet, a photobooth, major raffle, auction and lots of giveaways.
Tickets are $75, which include a three-course meal, and can be bought at www.cessnockleagues.com.au/book-tickets or at club reception.
