The roof of the Kurri Kurri Community Centre was ripped off and the windows of multiple businesses smashed after heavy rain and winds hit the town around 2pm.
An Ambulance NSW spokesperson confirmed that they were called to Kurri Kurri Community Centre shortly after 2pm to transport two people who had sustained minor injuries, believed to be storm-related.
The pair were transported to Maitland Hospital for treatment.
The storm caused widespread damage over the Kurri area, with reports that power lines have also been downed on Ninth St and Government Road in Weston.
Large sections of Kurri Kurri and the surrounding towns are reported to be without power.
