At midday Sunday police searched a 30-year-old woman in Mavis Street, Cessnock and allegedly found small amounts of cannabis, methamphetamine (commonly known as ice) and prescription drugs, without a prescription. The drugs were confiscated and woman will attend Cessnock Court.

Drink driving
A 30-year-motorist was stopped for a random breath test in Greta Street, Aberdare at 3.45am Sunday. Police allege the driver was found to be a P-plate licence holder who was suspended from driving. It is further alleged the man was driving with the low range of alcohol in his blood. He will attend Cessnock Court.
Found toolbox
Last Monday a red toolbox containing a number of tools was found in Cessnock. The toolbox was handed in to police and we are looking for an owner. The tools appear to be inexpensive. If you think the tools belong to you contact Cessnock Police Station and quote E55459058
Be wary of kangaroos
Recently police have been called to a number of incidents where kangaroos have collided with vehicles and have needed euthanising. In the latest incident police were called to an injured kangaroo on Main Road, Heddon Greta on Thursday. The kangaroos have been on the move at dawn and dusk, so please be vigilant.
Break and enter
On Saturday night offenders broke into a demountable sales office in Stanford Street, Kitchener and caused damage inside.
