Mr Hoipo will explore the early years of education in rural Wollombi up to the opening of Wollombi Public School in 1852.
Library services coordinator, Rose-marie Walters said the library team is committed to bringing the city’s local history alive through the telling of these fascinating stories.
“This is the final event in our Talking History program for 2017. Make sure you are signed up to the Library newsletter to see the wonderful local history programs which will be offered next year,” Ms Walters said.
