Riders and Kurri Kurri Speedway Club and racing officials met about 5.30pm and the riders voted to postpone the meeting until Sunday at 11.30am.
A world-class field of riders has been assembled for the titles, with Pelaw Main’s Rohan Tungate in red-hot form to defend his title.
A strong Hunter contingent includes Mason Campton, Josh Pickering and Jye Etheridge fresh from the UK season and 2016 Australian champion Brady Kurts and 2017 Australian under-21 champion Jack Holder.
Big things are also expected from Cowra’s pocket rocket Matthew Gilmore who won the NSW Under-21 title at Kurri Kurri a fortnight ago.
Gates will open at 8.30am on Sunday, with racing to start at 11.30am.
