It’s great way to keep the kids entertained this holiday and makes a perfect gift for Christmas.
The Hunter Valley track is the The Hunter region's biggest, fastest and most exciting 4-stroke go kart hire track with a massive 850m long track.
Offering the latest specification RIMO Go karts from Europe there’s specially designed Junior Go Karts as well as twin seaters, so children from everyone as young as 3 years of age right up to 99 years of age can enjoy the fun.
“You’ve got to have fun in life and go karts are the vehicle,” says Wayne Russell, owner.
Wayne purchases the 8.5hp Honda powered motors direct from Michael Schumacher’s organisation in Germany.
“Our karts are all the latest models coming out of Europe,” Wayne said.
“If you’re good enough they’ll do 60kmh to 65kmh.”
Unlike many kart tracks, Wayne doesn’t install governers on his machines, so the speed you go is entirely up to the individual.
As Wayne likes to say, you can always drive faster if you’re good.
“But you’ve got to use your brakes to go fast,” he added.
GoKartsGo has four tracks throughout the Hunter at Bob’s Farm, Broadmeadow, Cameron Park, and the latest track opened at Kearsley.
“It’s a big venture for us, it’s one of the biggest tracks in the country,” Wayne said. “Nelson Bay is 300m, Kearsley 850m.
“We have great faith in this adrenaline-based attraction.
It has proven potential and we have plans to keep on expanding.”
All Go Karts Go tracks have the latest timing systems from Europe, as used in FI.
“We try and avoid the racing side against each other, it’s more about racing the clock and yourself,” Wayne said.
“The lap time gives the individual an insight into how good they are.”
With a wry smile, Wayne adds that whenever a driver doesn’t go fast enough “it’s always about the timing system or the gokart, never the driver – that’s the fun side of it.”
Visitors can buy vouchers for certain amount of dollars which can be use at any track.
As Wayne says, there’s four great tracks on one great website.
