The food and wine festival, now in its third year, has attracted crowds of more than 10,000 each year and has injected $6 million into the local economy.
Cessnock Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce Pokolbin’s Ben Ean winery as the festival’s naming rights sponsor in 2018.
“One of the main goals for this festival since day one was to show that when we work together we can do some pretty impressive things, and Ben Ean supporting our event is testament to the community focus both organisations have,” chamber president Clint Ekert said.
The festival’s official launch will be held at Ben Ean on Tuesday, February 20 from 6pm to 8pm, and Mr Ekert says he would love to see many locals at the launch.
"It will be a great evening showcasing our amazing festival, in the beautiful surroundings of Ben Ean, with pizza and wine," he said.
Tickets for the launch are $30 per person. Visit the chamber’s website for tickets.
Meanwhile, the Stomp festival has earned the chamber a nomination for Cessnock’s Australia Day awards, which will be presented this Friday.
"Our board are very grateful for the nomination,” Mr Ekert said.
“The event took six years of planning to get to the point we are now.
"The nomination is just another feather in the cap for us; our aim is to bring people to the street and dollars into business and the festival certainly delivers on these aims."
