On the back of the success of the inaugural Pub Stomp at last year’s festival, Cessnock Chamber of Commerce has extended the invitation to all businesses to take part in the competition.
The Business Stomp Challenge is open to teams of four, and half of the 12 spots have already been sold – so get in quick if you want to join the fun.
The challenge will be a tag-team relay – each person will have 45 seconds to stomp the grapes in the barrel as fast as they can, giving teams a total of three minutes’ stomping time.
There will be two rounds of six teams, and the top two teams from each round will stomp off for the trophy.
Heats for the Business Stomp Challenge kick off at 2pm and entry is $150 per team.
There are still tickets available for the individual stomping competitions, which cost $30 per person.
Tickets for both challenges can be bought at www.cessnockstomp.com.
Email Anthony on info@cessnockchamber.com.au or call 0439 601 852 for more information.
The Stomp festival will be held in Vincent Street on Sunday, April 8, and is expected to bring 15,000 people to the Cessnock CBD, with wine, beer, food and fashion on show, and fun for the whole family.
The festival will run from 10am to 4pm and entry is free.
